About CyberAware
Personalized cybersecurity education for young adults — grounded in research, built to meet you where you are.
My Founder Story
As an Honors Cybersecurity and Computer Science Programming double major student and former IT Help desk technicain student worker, I have had the opportunity to get a close view of the constant struggle young adults face in the digital space. Additionally, research through my Honors Thesis provided empirical evidence that young adults can fall prey to cyberthreats in various categories such as social engineering, privacy & AI, cybervictimization and password security.
CyberAware fills the gap by providing personalized cybersecurity education. Through the pre-assessment quiz users will have the chance to identify their specific gaps. Then, the content section will aim to educate users on the recognized vulnerabilities. Once a user has worked through the content, they can answer the questions they answered unsafely again to see what they would do now. Moreover, users can take the quiz as many times as they want to track their progress. With CyberAware, every user leaves with a measurable before-and-after picture of their security awareness.
The Research Foundation
CyberAware began as a Walsh University Honors thesis project, developed under the advisement of Jennifer Loudiana. Rather than offering generic advice, it assesses each person's habits across five research-backed domains and tailors education to their specific risk areas.
Password Security
Credential hygiene, password managers, and multi-factor authentication.
Social Engineering
Recognizing phishing, vishing, and manipulation tactics used by attackers.
AI Practices
Sharing safely with AI tools and understanding how your data is stored.
Privacy Awareness
App permissions, data brokers, social sharing, and public-network safety.
Cybervictimization
Preventing and responding to harassment, fraud, and identity theft.
Each assessment produces a per-domain risk profile, and repeated assessments let users track how their profile changes over time.
